is a view from my house - perhaps the quintessential outhouse studio
painting in that regard. I saw a sunset through these unusual
cypress
trees, which have more treetops than trunks. The trees themselves are
quite special and when the sunset poured through them, it was really
incredible. About a week later I tried to recreate what I had seen and
moved around the yard quite a bit so I could see the sun set as I
remembered. I can look out the window behind me to see the fence, the
trees and the fields - so this was not done exclusively by memory -
probably why it is more detailed. |
